I understand your situation. It is not that simple. Some psychological issues might be involved. It is not easy for DV victims to get out. I was in similar situation years ago, and after I got out, I was in some DV victim support org trying to help others. I understand. It takes time and courage. A lot abusers really 不怕警察. My ex was one of them. They can be arrested multiple times.

He won't change. Please leave him and apply TRO. Do you need to talk? There are some DV victim support hotlines you can google. If you like, you can qqh me.
DV victims need lots moral support and psychological therapy, besides police, court, TRO, legal and final aids.
