U-damage, ask for advice

In August I rented a U-Haul and bought the safemove insurance. My good friend drove it for me. Unfortunately it hit a tree which caused damage at the mom's attic (upper right area). Yesterday I got a letter from the U-Hual insurance which said the damage is not covered by the safemove insurance. I either provide them with my personal auto insurance information or pay them directly.

Please advice me whether I should file this claim with my personal auto insurance. Are they responsible for this kind of cases (I was not the driver).The bottom line is that I don't want my friend to get involved in this claim.
