Help! Parking lot accident.

I live in Ontario Canada. I parked my car in the parking lot of my apartment last night. After the big snowfall, this morning, I find two big tree branches crashed on the windshield and hood of my car. The windshield was completely cracked.
I talked to the superintendent about the accident. He said that it was not their responsibility for any this kind of accident.
So, who does have experiences for this kind of accident? Would you please give some suggestions?
