Sorry, I have had hard time to type in Chinese using my computer.
I stopped at a left turn lane and waited for the green light at an intersection. A police car with siren on was driving at another road. A van at my opposite side (who was at green light) did not yield police car, and was hit by the police car. And then the van hit my car and another car on my right. The state highway patrol came over and did not issue any citation. I called my insurance company. They said that it should be police’s fault, but the policemen are not liable for anything when they are on duty. So, basically, my insurance company has to pay for my accident. Of cause, they will increase my premium, and I have to pay the deductible…
From my point of view, the accident was both policeman and the van’s fault. How should I be responsible for my car’s damage?
Did someone here have/hear similar experience? Should I go to court? Is it worthy it?
Thanks in advance for any kind of help.
