I hope you did not create irrepairable physical damage to you wife nor recently. In eitehr the case, I don't think it responsible to divorce at this moment. Otherwise she can sue any time. If you both can agree for divorce, then one should not sue afterwards. It should be treated as a closure and as a start for both.
