"A 1031 exchange is possible when you sell real estate held for investment purposes. It cannot be used for the sale of your personal residence."

I think here we're talking about is the primary residence, not the investment real estate. So this explains why I can't find it from the previous link.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your information. I will have one more choice in the future to deal with my investment real estate.
