请教法居士 - I458 question

Dear FaJuShi, I admire your kind help to others on this forum. I wonder whether you can answer me a question on I-485 filing -- For case with shoplifting record (about $40, arrested, fined by store, but not charged), is a brief explanation of what happened and a few statements of repentance sufficient for I-485 filing? Or has there to be a detailed explanation attached to 485? Thank you in advance for your help.
