Can I get my bonus for last year?

"You must be actively employed by *** , or on leave of absence
or layoff on December 31 of that year to be eligible for incentive pay."

Does this mean that if I leave between Jan. 1st and the day the bonus will be paid, I still can get my bonus for last year? If I do so, am I taking any risk?
