concerning prenups in US

if a going-to-marry couple: one is from china, one is from Netherland plans to get married in US, (one year later after the marriage they will move to US for job relocation reason and live there for good), is signing a prenups in US valid in this kinds of situation?

Is prenups only useful for american citizens OR anybody who gets married in US and sign it in US?
