I just had an accident

It is the other side's fault. I did not even contact the insurance company before renting a car myself for two weeks. Today, I sent my car rental invoices to that insurance company and it immediately responded that the check will be sent to me shortly. So if it is the other side's fault, you do not need its approval to rent a car.

My attorney (a friend) told me that if it refuses to reimburse you, you can go to small claim court. You will win.
