离开公司，还发工资应怎莫办？

我一朋友的丈夫已离开一大公司，但公司还继续给他发工资。显然是搞错了，但我朋友不想通知公司，如果公司发现后，比如说，很长时间， 会出现什莫样的情况，需要负什莫法律的责任吗？当然她会退钱给公司。她主要想看看公司的玩忽职守会到什莫时候发现？叩谢回答。
