求 助!!

一月前$4000买了a used car, 1997 Honda Civic. 上周六车坏了, 被告之是发动机坏了, 要$4000 fix it! 买车时听信了dealer 的话, 没买guarantee. 我想去找dealer之前,打听一下,大家有什么好的建议? 有没有学法律的朋友能帮忙写信给dealer? 谢谢!!
