You need to read

your contract and determine if whey they did violated one of the closing conditions. Generally, fixtures are part of the house and cannot be taken away. You local real estate lawyer MUST know the local law. You can refuse to close unless there is a price reduction, which takes place all the time in situations like yours. You need to call your lawyer and discuss this now and if he still refuses to spend more time on the matter, you should threat to report his couduct to the state bar association and remind him that if your suffer any damages as a result of his malpractice, you can sue and recover the damages from him. You probably hired a $500 or $600 lawyer for the paper work. These lawyers are not very good, but should at least take care of the "fixture" question. Trees, I believe, are part of the property as well but I could be wrong as I am not a real estate lawyer. Flowers, I would not argue about it at all. I don't know if curtains are fixtures. Call your lawyer now.
