请教单身老猫和有经验的朋友

I have a friend whose hu*****and died yesterday. As far as we know, her hu*****and had about $17,000 debits in his credit card. But the card was her hu*****and's own individual account. Since her hu*****and died already, is there any way to wipe out all his credit card debits? If so, how?

Any advice will be really appreciated!!
