Help filing divorce in CA!

Hi Lao Mao and other warm-hearted friends,
How are you. I am filing divorce right now in CA. We have 5-year-old daughter. He works and I haven’t worked till I graduate and find a job in the end of this year. I have following questions regarding the divorce form:
1. “Item 4:Separate property. Petitioner requests that the assets and debts listed to be confirmed as separate property.”
My question: We have a house under both of our names. Can I request it to be separate property? Will the house be judged as I request?
2. Item 5. Declaration regarding community and quasi-community assets and debts as currently known.
My question: We have a house under both our names, should I list it? Is it community asset? What does community asset mean? What about vehicles and Piano? He has his own saving accounting in Canada, should I list it?
We have verbal agreement to sell the house. If the judge approves to sell it, when should we sell it? Before the judgment is made or after?
3. I want to request sole legal custody and joint physical custody of my daughter because my hu*****and has a very bad temper. He often yells at me and daughter and says dirty and bad words to us. If he fights for joint legal custody, what kind of proof should I get? Will I win?
4. What is the next step after I fill divorce? What is the procedure? How long is the procedure in average?
