A real story from the newspaper. A guy left Canada to a oversea long vacation for 4 months. He did not arrange someone to cut the lawn of his home, so his was fined by the city about $100. He certainly did not know the fine, he did not pay it on time.
After 4 months, when he returned to Canada, he was arrested at the border. He was confined in a small room for a day, until the border police got the detail information of his offense from the city police. The border police released him because the offense was so minor.
