you may want to read pub 54 to fully understand how the exclusion works:
pub 54
it has an example that shows how to fill the forms in.


you need to make a declaration that says you choose to treat you lp as resident.
if your lp does not have itin, file W-7 with 1040.
filing W-7 needs your lp's certified copy of her passport. let her get a passport. it is worth it, even she does not plan to come to US right now.

important: when you file w-7 together with 1040 and 2555ez, do not mail the stuff to the address on 1040. mail it to the address specified on W-7.
