楼下的情况不适用你. 你们是H1B+H4, 本身就是RA,

H1B免税和standard deduction都可以要. 但如果你其他收入不多, standard deduction和exemption加起来有有一万多也是浪费. 楼下说的是夫妇一方是RA另一方是NRA, 他们按PUB519的特例可以选用1040合报, 可以有standard deduction但双方都不能要TREATY. 税上细节太多, 不能随便套用.
