I involved in DV before. You have to tell more about the case. Where are you and what happened? Did police come, was anyone arrested?

You can find a criminal laywer from local yellow book. If no income, or low income you should be able to get a public attorney. Sometimes the public one is as good as private one who can charge up to $15,000.

Stay calm, DV is commmon among Chinese community. There are some pretty stardard precedures to go through.
