我和房东的合约上没有写明是否可以加房租的条款，房东要求

加租，我如果拒绝的话就必须搬家吗？如果搬家的话，我会受到不小的损失（比如搬家的费用，找房子花费的时间和精力等等），我有办法可以避免我的损失吗？
而且我和房东的合同没有规定任何租期长短，任何违约责任，只规定了每月一号我应该交多少房租，和对房间的墙壁啊什么的不能破坏。
我现在是住在纽约市。

哪位大侠给看看，出出主意？
