我有个朋友告诉我，她和家人最近遇到这样的事

一次是她一家三口在公园散步，路迎面走来一外国老太，那老太很不友好地主动对她们说：不要在这里，滚回你们的国家去！当时这个朋友一家一时愣住了，当明白老太的意思后没理她，走了。后来她的女儿上高中在校园里走路时，远处几个外国男孩也冲她叫嚣：中国女人滚回你们的国家去！这个朋友给我们说时看得出很伤心，对她的女儿很担心，请问遇到这种事情应该怎么办？（她们住在纽约）

我对朋友说她们散步时遇到那老太，就应该当面打９１１叫警察，告她种族歧视，不知道这样行不行？
