有人在网上诽谤我 -- where is the damage?

You cannot just sue people when you want to. Most lawyers won't take your case UNLESS you have suffered because of the alleged 网上诽谤. If you have no damage, and a lawyer is willing to take your case, you need to be very careful as I think that lawyer is just trying to get money from you.

Where the damage happened is where you need to file the suit in general. Have you suffered any damage? and where?
