legal status --need information, thanks

Hi, All,

If the greencard application though marry citizen, do you still need keep legal status during the processing time. If INS processing time is longer than you expect and your visa will expire before you got approval. For example, you might get it in next two month and you visa will expire within one month. What do you do?
