about ebay bid

I just won bid for fluke digital multimeter on ebay,and just after winning the bidding, I knew some of this model have problem (see this notice from fluke web site IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION, fluke will call these products back for repair).Now I'd like to cancel this deal, also I promise to pay the seller some money for him bidding again.but the seller did not accept it.can just just cancel it? what is the reselt???
