how to write a will?

身边的人接连两次发生车祸，3人丧生，仿若晴天霹雳。悲痛之余也在思考一些问题。在美国这个社会，随机的因素太多，什么事都有可能发生，这就需要我们提前做好一切防范措施。 因为孩子还小，如果我们父母一旦发生不恻，他们怎么办？

想写will,但又不知如何下手？ 请老猫和各位高手给予帮助？

另外，life insurance 和 retirement 的 beneficiary 应该怎样填写，都请指教。
