She does have a problem. She needs to understand that

her landlord is only responsible for providing her a temp apartment; not responsible for her bad conduct during the stay unless she is a minor child or a pet such as a dog or cat.

When I am on a business trip, my employer pays for my hotel stay, which is also considered as my temp home. However, that does not mean I’ve got a free pass to break the hotel rules and my friends can trash another guest's room; and hope my employer will pay for these additional expenses.
