who is the hertz rep you have dealt with? Their custom service rep, or claim adjuster? I think it is the former. Have the insurance lawyer to call and pressure them to pay. They are waiting for the insurance company to pick up the charge, if they could. That's why the change in positions. You may refer the plaintiff lawyer to your insurance company.

Don't have to worry to much; even don;t mention to divorce!
