travelling in China during CPT, please help

Sorry that I can't type Chinese at work... But I can read Chinese with no problem.

I just started a full-time job using CPT, because H-1B quota has exhausted this year. I still need to finish my thesis work with school.

My company would like to send me to a business trip in China at the beginning of November.

Based on my situation, is the risk of being denied for a visa back to U.S. high? What should I do to reduce the risk? Or should I NOT go back to China at all?

Please provide any suggestions! I am really worried.
