My insurance is State Farm. My son is still in college. He is my dependent, but he has his own car and insurance. I am not responsible for that car or any issues related to his car. As I told you, you need really to consult your insurance agent. Please just give him/her a call or visit his/her office.

Even if what I said is true in your state, it does not guarantee some people will not try to go after you when your son has an accident and when they can not get anything out of him.
