If you have the option to go to the school and pay the fine, that might be a good choice.

But if you must appear on the court, you may argue the speeding charge. Many states require that the police officer at least follows the driver at least a quarter mile by using his own speed-meter (not radar gun or some other device). If this is the case in your state, you might be able to drop one charge.
