The Evidence Code was created in 1965 at the recommendation of the California Law Revision Commission. Although some sections of the CCP repealed at that time are pertinent to the history of some modern Evidence Code Sections, the Law Revision Commission comments published in the annotated codes generally identify the pertinent sections.
