Find a tenant youself is the best solution.
Another possible solution is to find something in the rented property that need to be fixed, I believe there should be plenty of them. Ask landlord to fix them one by one. Because this cost landlord, landlord may refuse or delay, then server landlord a breach of duty notice, claiming landlord is breaking the lease. by doing so, you maybe able to make a good deal.
