This happened a couple months ago ..
I was stopped by a female police because speeding on hwy.
Although my speedometer limit is 85 m, she said I was speeding at 90 m. This is my first traffic ticket in my 6 y driving in US.. so I didn't quite remember the procedures and I was in a hurry back to work. So I sat in my car and she went back to her car, I waited for a couple minutes..and she didn't look up. I thought it may be a warning..so I drove away. Next she caught me again and arrested me. Afer explanations and she saw my work badge and contacted my company.. she somehow agreed I was not intentionaly to run away..so I was released.
But she noted a Misdemeanor on my ticket - saying fail to obay officer and I'll need to show up in superior court. This is totally a miscommunication and mis-judge and I had excellent driving record..
How to deal with this? Help please. Thanks!!!
