我可以把钱要回来吗?

Since my hu*****and lefe me seven years ago,I worked sixe days a week in Chinese restaurant. I made about $3,000 or 4,000 a month in cash. I wanted divorce. My American landlord told me to put my cash in safty deposit box so my hu*****and cannnot grab my money. Two years ago, one chinese guy worked with me told me it's dangerous to put my cash that way.I was afraid so I put my money in his accout. I thought we work together, I can wathc him.
The money was 86,900. He transferred 60,000 to another account without telling me. And he went to Florida opened a restaurant. I called him and I want my money back. He said he will give me money back and he just borrow it. He said he had bed credit so he cannot borrow money from bank.
One years ago, he failed business. He came back give me 10,000 cash and 10,000 in check. And the rest 26,900 in the account. He gave me 1,000 in Feb. and 1,500 in March. He said he's going to borrow some money from friends to give me then his pnone was dead. I searched phone no. of the place he worked. His boss said the guy is in China now.He will be back American in August.
I asked a note that he borrowed my money many times. He didn't want do it. He guranted with his personility.
Now I know how stupid I am. I am a single woman with a little daughter, I tried to work hard to make our life better. I was in depressinon so trust wrong guy.
Please help me how I can manage my money back? He still own me 37,500.
