URGENT: Traffic warning citation (MA state)

I got 2 traffic warning citations within 2 months (very bad luck). The first citation has a $150 fine assestment but the total due is 0, and the second one I got today doesn't have fine assestment. somebody told me, if I got 2 warnings within a year, all the warnings would become "real" traffic citations and I have to pay the fines. is this true? thanks a lot
