请教STP等税法大师, J1转H1

2000年9月来美, 至2003年8月第为J-1, 自9 月转为H-1, 保税的话可以CLAIM personal exemption , standard deduction吗?因为在H-1B 其间的收入只有7000, 如果能够CLAIM personal exemption , standard deduction的话, 其不是去年交的税可以全部退回来拉? 不知是不是应该这样算? 请STP等帮忙, 欢迎J1-H1兄弟们一起探讨.
