To 單身老貓

I was arrested a while back ago and the case is dismissed (I'm innocent), but the laywer told me that I wont have criminal record but FBI will still keep my arrest record. Is that true?
I'm suspecting that my lawyer didn't do a good job, means he didn't do his best to protect my right. Since I'm totally innocent, how come I still have a record!!
I really wonder what should I do now.
Will that affect my GC application?
