异地借款，怎么确保得到真实的借据？

朋友在国内，管我借钱，我想让对方给我出借据。当然90%我是信赖他，但是怎么能确保他给我的借据是本人真实签字？
如果让他把借据fax过来，有效吗？还是一定要原件
