It's not a frivolous case. You pay your lawyer. He pays his lawyer. Theoretically, he can always sue you later for loss and damage, but under the current circumstance, he practically has no chance to win this.

I suggest you concentrate on your case and work with your lawyer now. You can not control or expect what your landlord will do in future, so don't think too much about it now.
