parents tax id

HI:

My parents stayed here for a year. We applied tax id for them and they were our dependents on our last year tax return. Based on the rule, they are still qualified to be our dependents for this year tax return.

Shall we use their original tax id, or apply new ones? My sense is that using original ones should be ok, but anyone can confirm this?
