Contractor Tax question
I got a contractor job and just found I am on self-employment for tax purpose. I need to file 1040 Schedule C. I heard that one can deduct expenses of home for business, or car expenses etc. I feel so strange. It seems you can put everything in and without proof, or do we have to attach the receipts or some other evidence? Who have experiences on this? Could you please give some advice? My contractor job is just a programming job actually. What kind of expenses can I deduct?
