Lost my receipts, Please help!

I used itemized deduction in my 2004 tax return. Because of frequently moving in last year, I lost all itemized receipts. What happen if IRS asks me to show these receipts in the future? Will I be in big trouble? Can I switch back to standard deduction and return the refund I got for 2004? Any suggestion is appreciated and thanks a million!
