I just read your previous postings. $300.00 is very normal. There are different office visit codes when you see your PCP or ER. Although the doctor only worked on your kid for few munites, the overhead cost was a lot. Do you know how much an average chart cost (only the materials cost) per patient, it costs around $10 dollars. How about the nurse, ER room, receptionist, professional liability costs for your service? You should also know that a lot of ER are running red financially because of the underpayment.
