I had the same experience in UAS, when the lease was over, I moved out . but then, I kept received the mails ( which re-mailed to my new address) to ask me to pay the rent, I called them and was told it was their mistake. but, but 6 months later, I got the "Chuan Piao" from court, I and my H went to court before my H called the VIP of the college ( the appartment blongs to it) , and they dropped the case in front of us.

so take it easy, it is not your fault, you do not need to worry about it.
