Depends on what kind of court you are talking about here. Small claims? JP?
Frankly, if you've already paid your landlord, it is difficult to imagine that a case would ever exist. I'd suggest considering contacting your landlord and tell him that there is a mistake and that you've already paid the rent. If he decided to proceed with the lawsuit against you, advise him that you may consider counter-sue him for a groundless lawsuit.
I agree with needwait.. and that I don't think it is a big deal. It seems that some communication with the landlord will resolve this for you.
