The case was dismissed right in the court room and the record would be permanently cleared one year after the court date. Say "No" to the LC question asking if you are arrested because that question is not intended to check your misdemeanors. Really first time shoplifting is no more serious than traffic violation but you may get court summon for traffic violation stating you are arrested. But you don't report that to anybody as you have been arrested.
