Im a real estate transaction, a seller hired an inspector and did an inspection for the house. The buyer does not hire his own inspector and just based on the sellers report to accept the house and closed the transaction.
Later the buyer find a few defacts that need to hire a third party to repair (after warrenty time). He like to sure the inspector for the reason that the defects should be found during inspection but the inspector missed.
Question: Can the existing owner sue the inspector. Is the inspector liable to the existing owner. He was hired by the seller not the owner.
Please help.
