I was an accounting clerk.I was injured this January when I went to bank to deposit money for the company.I was robbed and assaulted. Now the company kicks me out because I have restrictions.

I am still on WSIB getting about 60% of my previous salary. When I accepted the WSIB involvment I already lost the power of taking legal actions. The company fond someone else to do my job soon after my injury.

WSIB knows that I have restrictions and it will try to find me another job. Taking my restrictions into consideration they'll get me another job suitable for me but maybe with lower payment. The difference will be compensated by WSIB.

But it's not really fair. My previous job is a permenant and full time one with benefit. And the more important thing is because of my restrictions to use the computer for a long time they may try to find me another kind of job.I don't know what kind. If the job has nothing to do with accounting then my career will be broken.

But I have no knowledge what is my right and what can I do.

I don't know what are the conditions to be on long term disability. I personally would prefer to work because I am not totaly disabled. I can work. Besides,I think on long term disability will make me feel like really disabled. But I don't want to be taken too much advantaged of if possible.(we chinese new immigrants are quite often taken advantages of by employers. It's almost inevitable).

If anyone has any knowledge in this field would you please give me some information and help?
