Help on Car Accident

My car was hit by a huge truck last week. My baby and wife also got involved but are safe. I just got a full police report which states that truck driver is the violator. I have contacted his insurance company last week. They said ok we will call you. Today when I call them again, they said Ok we will call you. I told them my car is totally damaged and I need car rental. They said they will dicuss it with their boss. How should I handle them? Please give any comments. Thank you. BTW, I never heard of this insurance company (GALLA GHER). Is there anything false?
