请教一个Credit History

几年前leas Apt. 和landlord产生纠纷被起诉（后来才知landlord是一个专欺中国学生的恶主）。因为当时已搬到另外一个城市忙着找工作，没有时间应诉，丢了官司，被法庭从银行扣除一笔钱支付landlord。本是一桩小事，时隔多年，早就妄掉了。那知最近才发现，这事仍在credit history上没有clear. 打电话给court，办事员说court没有记录，只有landlord给court写信才能clear。landlord现在不在美国，无法联系上。而且从网上发现，landlord才跟中国学生打过类似的官司。可见landlord就是靠打官司赚钱。即使能找到他，让他给court出信的可能也不大。当时的bank statement已经丢失，那家bank也已经被兼并，现在也找不到什么有用消息。而我现在急需clear credit history。有什么好办法呢？多谢！
